ETC season includes encore visits and some new big names
The Entertainment, Theatre & Culture 2010 season includes some much-requested Rancho Murieta encores and stars you'll recall fondly -- even a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
ETC's kickoff event will be Sunday, May 16, at Lake Clementia, followed by this season of entertainment, announced Wednesday by ETC:

June 19: The season opens with Grammy winner Craig Chaquico, back by popular demand. Chaquico and six virtuoso musicians came to Lake Clementia Amphitheater in 2007 and performed the music Chaquico made famous as a member of the mega-group Jefferson Starship and as a solo performer. (See coverage of that show here.)

July 10: The Diamonds are back. The act, members of the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and Doo-Wop Hall of Fame, first performed at Lake Clementia in 2007 and delighted the crowd. (See coverage of that show here.)

July 31: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dave Mason will take the stage. He's a performer in his own right and a songwriter and producer connected to the biggest names in music -- the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix and many more. One of his songs, "We Just Disagree," was a top-10 hit, and another, "Feelin' Alright," has become a rock anthem.

August 21: YOSO, a band of stars with seven Grammy awards on their resumes, will perform. YOSO is made up of Toto lead singer Bobby Kimball, Tony Kaye and Billy Sherwood from the band YES and their all-star band. Their music includes songs like “Rosanna,” “Africa,” “Hold the Line,” “Roundabout,” “Starship Trooper” and many more.

September 11: Little River Band performs. The band, with a dozen U.S. hits, has sold more than 25 million records.

Oh I'm so excited, Craig Chaquico was fantastic!!! Can't wait to see him again. There wasn't a big turn out for him the last time but I think it was because many had not heard of him before...I hadn't. My husband had and that's why we went, including friends from the Bay Area who came up especially for the concert. We weren't disappointed.
Please everyone mark your calendars for an outstanding concert!

Just wondering if ETC will ever bring back any old school R & B groups. The last one they had was the Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards. It was awesome and everyone seemed to be having a great time singing and dancing. The place was packed.
I don't know what they charge to come out but it would be nice to see someone like Tower of Power or Hall & Oats or even bringing back the Temptations review. Just curious.

Here Here,
I dont personally know Mr. Sanchez, but it sounds like he has great taste in music. I too would love to sing and dance to some "Ol School" R&B music.
Thanks Mr. Sanchez for taking the time to sound off. Let's hope our voices are heard loud and clear.

This does sound like a great line up. Any chance of getting the Elton John impersonator back? I enjoyed him so much last time he was here that I sent him an email telling him how much I enjoyed his show. He emailed me back thanking me!

I am looking forward to the Yoso concert. I remember all the great songs by Toto and by Yes so the two groups together should make for a memorable night! Larry, I'd like to see Hall and Oates out here some day too.
ETC is one of our organizations that makes Rancho Murieta such a special place to live. Thank you ETC for your hard work and great 2010 line up.

ETC you finally did it!! Progressive Rock in Rancho Murieta. I will be front and center for YOSO. Their new album is coming out early 2010. I understand a good number of songs they have played since being formed come from the Yes album 90125.
I wonder if they will play "Yours Is No Disgrace"? Probably a bit much for Ranch Murieta at about 15 minutes.
Good job ETC.

I hope YOSO does not hold back on the Yes playlist. I remember seeing Yes in the 80's after they released 90125. Awesome!
