Just back from a tour of Europe and Great Britain, the Family Stone rolled into Rancho Murieta Saturday night with a celebration of rock, funk and soul that provided the grand finale for the 10th Entertainment, Theatre and Culture for Rancho Murieta concert season. Above, original Sly and the Family Stone members Jerry Martini and Cynthia Robinson were joined by vocalist Trina Johnson-Finn in a stellar line-up of musicians performing "Dance to the Music," "It's a Family Affair," "Everyday People," "Hot Fun in the Summertime" and other of the group's classics. After concluding the show with "I Want to Take You Higher," the group returned for an encore performance of "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again)," and dedicated the funk anthem to Sly Stone.

There was a chance of stormy weather in the forecast, but all the electricity in the air at Lake Clementia Amphitheater was generated by The Family Stone.
