Fire near Country Club contained quickly

A fire broke out in piles of bark stored on land near the Country Club maintenance facilities about 3 p.m. Monday and was quickly contained by crews from Sac Metro Fire Station 59. Cal Fire also responded. Plumes of smoke could be seen from the nearby parking lot of the Rancho Murieta Association Building and from Murieta Parkway and Alameda Drive. No cause for the fire was available.
