It's time for another Summerfest

Summerfest is a celebration of neon and fun.
The annual Summerfest celebration kicks off next week with a reservations-only Wine and Food Gala at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23. The carnival begins at 5 p.m. Friday, when Stonehouse Park is transformed into a neon-lighted midway with games, rides, food, and live music by Wonderbread 5.
On Saturday, the fun begins at noon and goes all day, with the added attractions of a poker tournament and a fireworks display.
Tickets for the carnival are $20 per person daily or $35 for both days, with children age 3 and under admitted free. Tickets are sold at the gate. Summerfest is a volunteer organization founded by Murietans. Information about Summerfest is available here.

T'Qeela Shotz, a rock & roll band based right here in Rancho Murieta, will be performing from 1:30 to 3:30 this Saturday the 25th at Summerfest.
To give you an idea of what we do and who we are:
Our repertoire consists of well known and fondly remembered songs from the 50s, 60, and 70s...the time period when most of us in the band were coming of age. We play just about every style from early Elvis to Pink Floyd.
Most of the band is from Rancho Murieta. We are: Warren Lutey, lead vocals and guitar; Greg Buderus, lead and rhythm guitar; Greg Corsault, drums; John Dekker, harmonica; Geri Dekker, vocals and percussion; Dennis Hook, lead guitar; Craig Sheumaker, slide/steel guitar; Bob Summersett, rhythm guitar, and from Eldorado Hills, Mike Rouse, bass.
Come out and support us, and have a great time!
