RMA will discuss proposed DUI policy
The Rancho Murieta Association board holds its monthly meeting 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the RMA Building. The board will take action on extending the voting period for the motorcycle CC&R amendment ballot. A discussion of the Community Services District draft policy for DUI vehicle stops is also designated for board action. See the agenda here.

Steve,
I have to agree! This is too much. I don't know the members of the panel but I have to say that they have destroyed my trust and I think it's high time they resign or be removed from their positions for incompetency among other things. This is just not right!
I've lost track of the so called Aquatic Center vote but never did hear any results so I can only assume there are still a lot of ballots rolling in every day. NOT!
This board is embarassing!!!
I call for their resignations TODAY!
Enough wtih this voter extentions for the Community Center. And now the Board is thinking about an extension for motorcyle use on the North. Enough! As I said a month ago, those who care have voted. Those who don't have "voted" by not voting. Count the ballots and be done with this. It appears the Board is holding out to obtain they results they want. That's not a good preception to display and not how this process should work.
Be assured they will extend the motorcycle vote another 30 days and then another 30 days when they have the opportunity. I'm sure they are scrambling to come up with a way to extend the community center vote also.
We came here initially in 1984 and NOTHING has ever fractured the community like these folks. They have pitted neighbor against neighbor, ex-friend against ex-friend, young against old and rich against poor. Any reasonable human would say that 30 days is more than enough time for voters in this small community to exercise their franchise. Steve and Steve, there's nothing you can do about it. They will do what they wish because they can.
That's what people like them do.
If this had been the opposite and the Board was not extending the motorcycle vote, you'd hear people whining that they didn't give it the same opportunity as the Community Center.
So give them a break, whatever the RMA Board does residents will always complain.
I disagree that there is nothing we can "do" about this situation with the extensions and I'll save those ideas for private development. But there certainly are things we can do when we the people decide we've seen enough from this group. I will add that the things that are still an option are non violent, legal and involve our freedom of speech. So Myrna won't need to accuse me of any kind of illegal conduct.
And Beth, I just disagree. They no longer deserve a "break" because they have broken our trust. Don't you understand what people are saying here?
This isn't some game where these things don't matter. To say, aw shucks guys, you'd complain either way is just ridiculous. They are skirting the system, altering the outcome and giving the appearance of impropriety of conduct!!! These are board members who are supposed to be respected leaders!!! The level of conduct expected of them is not being met and their rule breaking and bending and pranks have reach an epidemic level. It's time for them to go and there's no quarter coming from me!

I guess I was just starting to understand, nay, tolerate, the reasoning behind our RMA board extending the vote for the Aquatic Center. It was reportedly extended because the board wanted to ensure such an important matter, one that would affect every member in a finacial way, should be voted on by the largest number of eligible residents possible. Now, somehow we're to believe the board considers allowing motorcycles on the North to rise to the same level of significance, or importance, even though there are only a handful of motorcycle riders desiring the change? I'm all for being as inclusive and accurate as possible, but we in RMA are supposed to be responsible adults and should be smart enough, or responsible enough to turn our ballots in at the appointed time. I expect the RMA Board to either count the votes, or declare it "not passed", if the minimum number of voter responses was not met. An extension gives the perception of shenanigans, again.
