A Saturday dedicated to the dogs

There were biscuits for the dogs and pastries for their owners when Rancho Murieta's first dog park opened Saturday morning at Stonehouse Park. Dozens of people (and dogs) were on hand. Accompanied by his dog, Dexter, Rancho Murieta Association President Jim Moore dedicated the park, thanking the Rotary Club, the RMA Maintenance Department and others. Rotary President Andrew Hughan presented Moore with a ceremonial check, and after a ribbon-cutting, the day officially went to the dogs. The park offers fenced areas for large and small dogs, bag dispensers for clean-up, and, best of all, lots of lush green grass. Where's the dog park? Across the street from the playground equipment as you enter Stonehouse Park.
