Three file to run for RMA board
The Rancho Murieta Association announced the names of three members who applied to run for two board seats by Thursday's 4 p.m. filing deadline. The three-year terms run from Dec. 1, 2012, through Nov. 30, 2015. The applicants are Tom Landwehr, Lou Lopez and incumbent Randy Jenco. Scott Adams, whose term also expires this fall, did not file.
Since his election to the board in 2009, Jenco has chaired the Maintenance Committee. He also chaired the ad hoc committee for a community center and aquatic complex, a project that was recently voted down by the membership.
Landwehr was on the RMA board from 2000 to 2002, when he resigned to devote more time to his family and his business. He was first appointed to serve out the term of a director who left the board, and then became the top vote-getter in a field of seven candidates running for two seats on the board in 2000. He is currently a member of the Maintenance Committee.
Lou Lopez now serves as a director on the Murieta Townhouses Inc. board.
A formal announcement of the slate of candidates will be made at the RMA board of directors meeting Tuesday.

I am disappointed to see Scott is not running again. He is an excellent Director. Thank you Scott for giving back to our community.
