Hi Heidi...I would suggest that you put out your trash the night before...that is what we do in the Solomon household,,,Then you don't have to dash out at the crack of dawn to put out the bins...just a suggestion...
We always do the night before too, along with the houses that I can see from my driveway. A very rare occasion have we forgotten and had to run out when we heard the trucks coming, don't like that feeling of panic.
But you are right, Heidi, less than 24 hrs notice for something that is so cruicial isn't right.
We have a routine to put them out at 6:15 the morning of. The guidelines for the HOA do not allow work prior to 7:00. We have done this since 2005 without a hitch. Had the CSD that we pay so much money to each month given us proper notice it would not be a problem. So with that, I leave the CSD with this advice. Piss poor planning leads to piss poor performance. Oh wait, that's proper planning prevents poor performance.
Heidi,
I agree. Adequate prior notice for all would have been greatly appreciated for those on different schedules.
Obama knew about the rule breaking 6:00am pickup for this week only and didn't stop it from happening!

They would never allow this to happen! : )

Really, CSD? Less than 24 hour notice of trash collection time change? And only via this website? No door hangers or phone calls? And for what reason was the change allowed?
Since when do we allow any business to be conducted inside the gates before 7am?
I was fortunate that my husband was already up at 5:30am, when they actually started collection, and was able to run our trash bin out to the street. How many others will be stuck with their trash for another week?
I, for one, am not impressed.
