Townhouse issue being addressed
Homeowners and the Murieta Townhouses Inc. board of directors announced this week they have come to an agreement on a long-term solution to a long-standing problem affecting four townhouses. As a result, instead of crumbling stucco and peeling paint, residents driving along Murieta Parkway or walking along the Laguna Joaquin pathway are noticing crews from the D.W. Mathews Lath and Plaster Company working at the Colina Lane townhomes. The repair process uses woven fiberglass netting embedded in a blended polymer cement-based material, and the surface is finished with a water-resistant acrylic color coat. According to MTI, "Surfaces repaired in this fashion have an 11-year warranty from the manufacturer and should never need to be repainted, only cleaned."
