Video: Rancho Murieta's first Thanksgiving

Participants in Rancho Murieta's new community gardens held a harvest fest Saturday at Stonehouse Park, marking the first harvest since the gardens were launched this year.  Here's a video look at the gathering and the gardens.

Community Gardens

Well done to all!

The Community Gardens was a wonderful idea. The Maintenance Department did a great job of building it...and the gardeners sure brought it to life!

A special thanks to ranchomurieta.com for the video.

Best video experience

If you're having any trouble with the video, try clicking the blue "HD" on the front of the player.  That will drop you from HD quality to something less, which will help address bandwidth issues.  (Or if you're having no problems, and would like to see the video larger, you can start the video and click the little gray starburst at the right of the controls.  That will enlarge the player to the size of your monitor.)

Community Garden Video

Thanks, rm.com, for suggesting the "click on HD" to clear up the audio portion. It worked and the photos are great--(almost) enough to turn someone into a vegan!

Love the Veggies

As active participants in the community garden, we are so very pleased at the job RM did in setting up the facility. Our cucumbers, basil, peppers, beans, zucchini and tomatoes (those are our tomatoes in the video) are keeping us well fed now and into the future as freeze all that we can't eat or give away. It is amazing how much can be grown in just 70 square feet of space!

Looking forward to a bountiful winter crop and another fun and fruitful year in the garden.
