The annual Village Craft Faire and Bake Sale held at the Murieta Village clubhouse Saturday opened the holiday season with delicious things to eat and a wide selection of handmade items. One of the younger shoppers, Jaddy Price, 10, inquired about the fabric jewelry cases Polly Clift was selling.  On Sunday, the Murieta Artisans Holiday Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Country Club, featuring art, jewelry, glass, photography, hand-crafted items and more.

Carol Baker makes and sells huggable, lovable "rainbow dolls." Other vendors offered beaded jewelry, stained glass ornaments, jam, walnuts, holiday decorations, photographs, art, and handbags.

Knitted items

Murieta Village Creative Crafters produced a village of colorful characters designed to delight the child in everyone. The crafters meet weekly to make hats, blankets, dolls and other articles to donate to Loaves & Fishes and other charities. Proceeds from Saturday’s sale support the group’s efforts.  Donations of yarn are also appreciated.
