Votes needed for MTI elections
Murieta Townhouses Inc. is encouraging its members to vote in two elections. The first ballot is a bylaws revision for the 198-member homeowner association. Proposed changes include lowering the number of directors on the board from seven to five and reducing their terms from three years to two years.
The second ballot is for the board election. A quorum is needed so the board can conduct business.
MTI President Doug Knutsen is the only candidate in the election. Directors Bobbie Fite and Carol Prinzo are leaving the board.
Both ballots must be signed and returned for the MTI annual meeting. The meeting takes place at the Rancho Murieta Association Building 7 p.m. Oct. 9.
MTI held a successful election to change its CC&Rs three years ago, when members voted in favor of reducing the homeowner association's maintenance responsibilities to lower monthly dues. In addition to MTI dues, members pay RMA dues.
