LENT IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER and as we prepare we need your help. We are inviting everyone to bring their palms that you received last year on Palm Sunday to SVDP so they may be burned for Ash Wednesday.

ALTAR SERVERS TRAINING will be held on Sundays Feb. 7th, and Feb. 28 immediately following the 9am Mass and Saturday Feb. 20  at 3:30pm before the 5pm Mass. All who are interested please call the Church office at 345-2403 on Tuesdays between 3-5pm. Involving your child in a Ministry of the church is one of the many ways to help them grow in their Faith.  Be sure to sign your child up, so we will know how many to plan for.    Read more »

Come and Celebrate Mardi Gras, California style, on Friday, Feb. 12th from 6-8:30 p.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul Social Hall.  This event is free and open to all men and women of the community.  Child care will be available. 

Sip French Roast coffee and indulge in fabulous desserts, as you listen to our speaker, Bro. Kurt Wernert.  His topic is "Making our Fasting our Feasting."

A group of "little ones" will perform a few Christmas songs on Christmas Eve at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.  They have been practicing the last month. They will sing at 4:40 p.m., just prior to the 5 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass.  Everyone is invited to attend.

COAT DINNER/DANCE.....a huge success in spite of the foul weather.  Over 400 coats and sleeping bags were donated.  Kudos to the Mehrtens, Robert, Kathy, Charlie and Sue of Red Oak BBQ who sponsored the Dinner.  .  These items will be going to Loaves andf Fishes to warm those in need.  This is the 7th year that the Crew from Red Oak BBQ our favorite  Caters has have hosted this charity event. Thank you Robert and Charlie along with your families and crew for your generosity and outreach.  This is anothrt inspiration to our community of what this season is all about.

BISHOP WILLIAM WEIGAND.....will co-celebrate at the 9:00 AM Mass,  on Sunday, Nov. 1,  All Saints' Day,  at  St. Vincent de Paul Church, After wards the Bishop will bless the  New Columbarium at the cemetery. The entire community is invited and those inside the gates can drive their golf carts over and enter the Cemetery WITHOUT going outside the gates and having to drive Jackson Hwy!! PEW STUDY FINDS HIGH RETENTION RATE AMONG CATHOLICS, POINTS OUT CONCERN FOR DISAFFECTED YOUTH

A Pew Forum poll on Americans and their religious affiliation finds Catholics have one of the highest retention rates, 68 percent, among Christian churches when it comes to carrying the Catholic faith into adulthood.   It also found that a determining factor in whether or not one remains Catholic as an adult is whether or not the individual attended Mass as a child and teenager.  Read more »

CHURCH PICNIC …….A huge success with upwards of 200 people attending this year. It turned out to be a perfect day for socializing and getting to know your fellow parishioners.  This year’s event again featured a rock band, waterslide, great food and a special visit from our new Pastor Priest Fr. Rodolofo Llamas.  This year’s picnic was co-chaired by the Larson’s and the Cann’s’.  We are sorry that everyone who contributed cannot be mentioned we do thank you so very much for the delicious dishes that were prepared.  Read more »

ANNUAL CHURCH PICNIC…  IS THIS SUNDAY MAY 31st AT THE LAKE.  Mass will still be celebrated in our church Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 9am, prior to the PICNIC. Appetizers will be served at 11am with Lunch at 12 noon.   There will be water games and activities for the kids, socializing for the adults…..fun for all.   Come meet the new members, and visit with in our Parish Family.
