They are: Jim Beck, Ray Lammlein, Chris Lucchetti, and Mary Newman. They replace members concluding their terms: Ed Denison, Ray Guertin, Jerry Hathaway, and Meghan Kassel. Reappointed to an additional term of one year are: Ed Alameida, Marie Hanson, Ellen Moe and Rick Randall. Continuing incumbents are Denis Berg, Brenda Carmichael, Stacy Garza, and Dianne Larson. We are grateful for the service of those leaving the Council and extend a hearty welcome to our new members. Published May 27, 2010CONGRATULATIONS TO GREG AND RYAN PROUTY... for the excellent presentation at both Masses explaining their Eagle Scout project of building a Memorial Garden at the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. After Mass on Sunday a blessing of the memorial and reception was held at the cemetery. Everyone should be extremely proud of the beautiful job these boys have done. The memorial is now sacred ground and will be with us always.

Published May 22, 2010EAGLE SCOUT PROJECTS: Congratulations to the Prouty brothers, Gregory and Ryan, for their Eagle Project selections to construct a STONE COURTYARD MEMORIAL to honor their father, Andrew Prouty, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery. These two Eagle Projects involved the construction of a peaceful stone courtyard in the cemetery. It is planned to have an entryway, stone benches, and a plaque memorial. Estimated material cost are thought to be about $15,000. They would like to respectfully request that any donations be made out to Boy Scout Troop 633 and can be mailed to: 6211 Cazador, Rancho Murieta, CA 95683. ALTAR SERVERS TRAINING will be held on Sundays Feb. 7th, and Feb. 28 immediately following the 9am Mass and Saturday Feb. 20 at 3:30pm before the 5pm Mass. All who are interested please call the Church office at 345-2403 on Tuesdays between 3-5pm. Involving your child in a Ministry of the church is one of the many ways to help them grow in their Faith. Free Mardi Gras gathering Feb. 12
Published January 22, 2010Come and Celebrate Mardi Gras, California style, on Friday, Feb. 12th from 6-8:30 p.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul Social Hall. This event is free and open to all men and women of the community. Child care will be available.

Kudos to the Mehrtens, Robert, Kathy, Charlie and Sue of Red Oak BBQ who sponsored the Dinner. . These items will be going to Loaves andf Fishes to warm those in need. This is the 7th year that the Crew from Red Oak BBQ our favorite Caters has have hosted this charity event. Thank you Robert and Charlie along with your families and crew for your generosity and outreach. This is anothrt inspiration to our community of what this season is all about.

A Pew Forum poll on Americans and their religious affiliation finds Catholics have one of the highest retention rates, 68 percent, among Christian churches when it comes to carrying the Catholic faith into adulthood. It also found that a determining factor in whether or not one remains Catholic as an adult is whether or not the individual attended Mass as a child and teenager. Read more »

This year’s event again featured a rock band, waterslide, great food and a special visit from our new Pastor Priest Fr. Rodolofo Llamas. This year’s picnic was co-chaired by the Larson’s and the Cann’s’. Published May 24, 2009ANNUAL CHURCH PICNIC… IS THIS SUNDAY MAY 31st AT THE LAKE. Mass will still be celebrated in our church Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 9am, prior to the PICNIC. Appetizers will be served at 11am with Lunch at 12 noon. There will be water games and activities for the kids, socializing for the adults…..fun for all. Come meet the new members, and visit with in our Parish Family.
