Country Club

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... (No?)

Putters

With snowmen, reindeers and other signs of the holidays, it was Christmas in July for dozens of children who competed in the Rancho Murieta Country Club Junior Putting Contest Sunday afternoon in spite of 100-degree heat. The contest is sponsored by the Rancho Murieta Women's Golf Club.  The weather forecast calls for temps to back off a bit, into the mid-90s, for the coming week.

Coat dinner

The eighth annual Coat Dinner at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church was one of three community events that weren't dampened by Friday night's rain.  Hundreds of coats and jackets and some sleeping bags were collected for Loaves & Fishes to distribute to the homeless. In exchange for their donations, everyone received a homemade chili dinner. Home Tour

Later in the day, the Rancho Murieta Women’s Club “Ring in the Holidays” home tour offered members and their guests the chance to see how seven Murieta homes are decorated for the holidays.  There were refreshments afterwards at the Rancho Murieta Association Building.  Special holiday dishes and the glow of candles, above, bring the holiday theme into the dining room of the home of Janet and Doug Waldie.  See 20 more photos from the home tour here...  Read more »
