Blood drive
Posted October 23, 2007 by RM.comThe last community blood drive of the year takes place at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Cantova Way. The drives are conducted by BloodSource and sponsored by the Rancho Murieta Women's Club four times a year. Walk-ins are always welcome and appointments can be made by contacting coordinator Sally Paravantes at 354-2885. Child care is available, and cookies and juice are provided for donors.

It's the biggest fundraiser of the year for the scouts, and an opportunity for residents to stock up on jack-o-lanterns, fixings for homemade pumpkin pie and seasonal decorations. The size range goes from pumpkins small enough for a Thanksgiving centerpiece to the really big ones.
