RMA acts to rebuild North Gate and bill Villas

North Gate deal with PTF is near, RMA says

After nearly a decade, the Rancho Murieta Association seems poised to begin work on a new North Gate, the board said at Tuesday night’s monthly meeting.  In other action, the board announced a compromise on the issue of vehicles being barred from roads that access the Cosumnes River, it moved ahead with plans for a Stonehouse Park Plaza, honoring the park’s early supporters, and it supported a one-year test of a bicycle pump track, voting to send the park rules out for community comment. Read more »

RMA wants to buy Escuela at 'a steal' price

The Rancho Murieta Association’s board of directors Tuesday night indicated their intent to purchase 14 acres of land near Stonehouse Park, the Escuela site that had been planned for the failed community center. The $200,000 price is “a steal,” one director said. The board also announced that General Manager Nick Arther has resigned to accept a similar position at a homeowners’ association in San Diego. Read more »

The Sloughhouse Pioneer Cemetery was opened to the public Saturday by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, caretakers for the 1.5-acre knoll. The public toured the cemetery with descendants of the more than 300 people buried there and remembered the pioneers in a ceremony at Sloughhouse Inn. Read more »
