The '70s-era arch that divided the large meeting room at the Rancho Murieta Association Building is history as a $70,000 rehabilitation of the building gets under way. Losing the arch is expected to improve the acoustics of the room, something that will be tested at Tuesday night's board meeting. Also part of the project: rehabbing the kitchen, restrooms and entry, replacing flooring, lighting and ceiling tiles, and repainting. The board approved the rehab work at last month's meeting. With a new communications manager on board, the Rancho Murieta Association Communications Committee prepared Wednesday to move forward on two long-postponed projects: rebuilding the cable system and installing a new phone system. The committee also voted to replace the music channels on RMA cable with a similar service.  Read more »

“It’s exciting to be both your neighbor and your employee,” said the association’s new communications manager, Paul Venturella, when he was introduced by President Jim Moore at Tuesday’s meeting as the board, staff and audience members applauded.

The Rancho Murieta Association board took care of business at its January meeting in under 90 minutes Tuesday,  approving a contract for Fourth of July fireworks and post and cable fencing on the South pedestrian bridge access. Driveway parking continued to be a topic of discussion as the board granted two of three requests for driveway parking variances, including one the Architectural Review Committee voted to deny.  Read more »

[Expanded Jan. 12] Fixing the cable system and developing a plan to fund and build a community center topped the list of goals the Rancho Murieta Association board of directors developed at a goal-setting workshop Monday evening. The list of priorities also includes replacing the North Gate, adding a gate at Escuela Drive, renovating the RMA Building, ending the moratorium on exclusive use agreements, and having a monthly or quarterly newsletter for members.  Read more »

The Rancho Murieta Association Recreation Committee has planned a bus trip for RMA members and their guests to see the Stockton Thunder and Victoria Salmon Kings hockey teams take to the ice at Stockton Arena Saturday, Jan. 30.  Read more »
