RMA will re-examine exclusive use rules

At Tuesday night's meeting, the Rancho Murieta Association board of directors backed away from enacting rules adopted last month for exclusive use of common area. The rules set the same terms for all exclusive use leases and doubled the square-foot cost to $4. The rules were scheduled to go into effect April 30. Read more »

Getting ready for another season on the water

Clementia dock

It was out with the old and in with the new Thursday at Lake Clementia as the Rancho Murieta Association Maintenance Department replaced the worn-out boat dock with a new one. The day was sunny and warm, but the water was still winter cold as workers in the lake set the dock on a trailer and Maintenance Manager Rod Hart used heavy equipment to pull it to shore. Like the old one, the new dock is 30 feet long, but it has a 20-foot wing for an L-shape that will provide spacious accommodations for boat launching and fishing. The swim platform at Clementia is also being replaced. Both pieces of equipment will be refurbished and redeployed in other lakes.

RMA acts on open houses, proposed kennel

The Rancho Murieta Association board of directors last week added Saturday afternoons to the Sunday afternoons already allowed for real estate open houses in the community. At Tuesday's meeting, the board also directed staff to tell Sacramento County that the RMA is concerned about noise issues that could be created by a kennel planned for Stonehouse Road near Jackson Road. Read more »

North Gate, parks are focus of RMA session

At the annual Rancho Murieta Association goal planning workshop last week, the board focused on projects, identifying the North Gate rebuild as its top priority. North Gate deal with PTF is near, RMA says

After nearly a decade, the Rancho Murieta Association seems poised to begin work on a new North Gate, the board said at Tuesday night’s monthly meeting.  In other action, the board announced a compromise on the issue of vehicles being barred from roads that access the Cosumnes River, it moved ahead with plans for a Stonehouse Park Plaza, honoring the park’s early supporters, and it supported a one-year test of a bicycle pump track, voting to send the park rules out for community comment. Read more »
