The Rancho Murieta Community Church vacation Bible school program for children from kindergarten through 6th grade will be held at Cosumnes River Elementary School Aug. 4 through 8. The theme is "Power Lab ... Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Power." The free program offers music, games, crafts, Bible stories and snacks. Because of the the urgent need for blood at this time of the year, BloodSource is offering two incentives for the July 28 blood drive. In addition to receiving a coupon for Baskin-Robbins ice cream, donors will be eligible to win one of five gas cards worth $500. Rancho Murieta Women's Club blood drives are held four times a year at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Cantova Way. Hundreds attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church's annual open-air Mass and picnic Sunday morning at Lake Clementia.  Read more »

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church is celebrating Mass at Lake Clementia Amphitheater Sunday. Following the 10 a.m. service, there will be a picnic with barbecued chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers, a variety of hors d' oeurves, salads, snacks and homemade desserts. Those attending the event are asked to bring folding chairs for seating.

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church is hosting Pizza-Rap-N-Rock, an evening of music, pizza and talk for parents, teens and 'tweens Friday, June 27.  Read more »

The Rancho Murieta Community Church has announced it will establish a school as part of its new church facility. The complex will be constructed on a 20-acre Stonehouse Road site donated by the Frank family in 2005. The Rancho Murieta Christian Academy is expected to open in the fall of 2010.  Read more »

The Rancho Murieta Community Church presents "Look to The Lamb," an Easter musical and drama, Saturday, March 22, at 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 23, at 8 a.m. at the church, located next to the fire station. Two projects of interest to Murietans come before a citizens' planning group Jan. 23. The Cosumnes River Community Planning Advisory Council will consider plans to construct facilities for the Rancho Murieta Community Church and a proposal for an irrigation project that would use reclaimed wastewater supplied by the Community Services District to water pasture land.  Read more »
