WiredTree Managed Hosting, based in Chicago, was hit by power problems around 12:15 p.m. PST and all of its client sites went dark. RMA committee hopes to begin 'major rebuild' of cable system in March
Published February 4, 2010With a new communications manager on board, the Rancho Murieta Association Communications Committee prepared Wednesday to move forward on two long-postponed projects: rebuilding the cable system and installing a new phone system. “It’s exciting to be both your neighbor and your employee,” said the association’s new communications manager, Paul Venturella, when he was introduced by President Jim Moore at Tuesday’s meeting as the board, staff and audience members applauded.
The Rancho Murieta Association board took care of business at its January meeting in under 90 minutes Tuesday, approving a contract for Fourth of July fireworks and post and cable fencing on the South pedestrian bridge access. Driveway parking continued to be a topic of discussion as the board granted two of three requests for driveway parking variances, including one the Architectural Review Committee voted to deny. If the Rancho Murieta Association board of directors takes the recommendation of three committees, the 2010 RMA budget will shift the cost of maintaining and operating the cable system from the overall membership to just the cable subscribers. The reserve contribution for cable would remain in all members' dues. The Communications and Finance committees endorsed the approach at meetings this month, and the Ad Hoc Cable Committee voted for it last month. Read more »
