Votes needed for MTI elections

Murieta Townhouses Inc. is encouraging its members to vote in two elections. The first ballot is a bylaws revision for the 198-member homeowner association. MTI seeks candidates for board

Murieta Townhouses Inc. is seeking candidates for the upcoming election for positions on its board of directors. Townhouse owners in good standing are eligible to run. The deadline for applying is Sept. 18. Townhouse owners ponder taking on maintenance responsibilities

MTI meetingAbout 35 townhouse owners turned out Tuesday evening for the last of four town hall meetings on proposed CC&R changes that would reduce the homeowner association’s maintenance responsibilities to lower monthly dues. Townhouse owners now pay an assessment of $280 a month, plus Rancho Murieta Association dues of $141. If adopted, the proposed changes could reduce the MTI assessment by as much as 30 percent, according to the committees that developed the proposals. Read more »

[Updated Nov. 13] An overflow crowd of about 80 townhouse owners turned out for the Murieta Townhouse Association annual meeting at the Rancho Murieta Association Building Tuesday. The meeting capped weeks of dissension triggered by a $44 dues increase in the 2009 budget. The increase will bring monthly MTI dues to $283.  Read more »
