The grand finale of the Entertainment, Theatre and Culture concert season takes place Sept. 6, when “Celebrate With Peter Rivera” comes to Lake Clementia Amphitheater for a dance concert. Peter Rivera made his mark in the rock world as the lead vocalist and drummer for Rare Earth. The Eagles tribute band Hotel California took it to the limit one more time Saturday night, entertaining a crowd of more than 1,100 at Lake Clementia Amphitheater. The band was the opening act for the 2006 Entertainment, Theatre and Culture concert season. "You asked to have them back and they're here," ETC President Jude Gaither said at the start of the show. Fellow board member Randy Pishek told the audience it was the largest of the season, and remarked, "I think this will be one of these nights, one of these crazy, old nights." He was right. The Rancho Murieta Rotary Club's first Luau Night turned Lake Clementia Amphitheater into a trip to the islands Saturday. The To'erau Te Mata'I Polynesian Dance Company from Pittsburg entertained the crowd with Hawaiian dances and brought audience members on stage for lessons. On Aug. 9, the most requested Entertainment, Theatre and Culture show returns to Lake Clementia Amphitheater. The Rancho Murieta Rotary Club turns Lake Clementia into a trip to the islands Saturday with a luau night. The evening includes dinner, a cocktail, music, hula lessons and live Hawaiian dance performances. Tickets are $40 or $75 for two. The adult event begins at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available at the Rancho Murieta Business Center, the Rancho Murieta Association, and MarShaTes or by calling 354-2503 or 354-2942.

Rotary is a service organization that works to provide education, medical care, and clean water throughout the world.
