For 19 years, has made providing up-to-date news about our community its mission. We are a husband-and-wife team, and our priorities changed with Ralph’s recent surgery. We are now focused on the recovery process. During this break from day-to-day reporting, we ask members to continue to explore issues through the forums, post classified ads and use the extensive story archives. A strong winter storm rolled through the area Friday, felling trees and knocking out Murieta's power for six hours.

Trust fund created for family of woman killed in car crash

Murietans used e-mail Thursday to share thoughts about the 19-year-old woman with local ties who died in a New Year's Day car crash. A memorial fund for her family has been established at El Dorado Savings Bank in Murieta Plaza.

Murieta braces for winter storm

Rancho Murieta spent Thursday bracing for a big winter storm that's forecast to arrive overnight.  The Rancho Murieta Association was offering sandbags for residents who've had problems with flooding in the past.

RMA survey on cable operation is in the mail

Check your mailbox: The Rancho Murieta Association has sent members a mailing for an advisory vote on making basic cable TV service voluntary.  It also includes reasons why the costs have to remain part of members' monthly dues.
