Longtime Murietan Nancy Mazzoni dies at 80

Sheriff's Department offers tips on scams

A handful of representatives from the Sheriff’s Department attended Saturday’s annual gathering for newcomers – 16 this time – at Murieta Village. Fifty people enjoyed a lunch of chicken salad and strawberry shortcake, then listened and asked questions about scams and criminal activity. Read more »

RMA to hold monthly meeting Tuesday night

The Rancho Murieta Association will hold its monthly board meeting Tuesday at the RMA Building. The open session begins at 6:30 p.m. The board of directors will take action on a pickleball court petition, CHP patrol inside the gates, board goals, motorcycle access in the North, Nominating Committee members and other items. Bandits take trophy with 15-9 win

Grand slam

Chris “Sauce” Ross connects for a grand-slam home run at Stonehouse Park Sunday, powering the Rancho Murieta Bandits to a 15-9 win and another Gold Country Vintage Base Ball trophy. In addition to the grand slam, Ross pitched five innings. The Bandits, 8-2 in league play, defeated the Repressa Pioneers, who had the league’s best record at 9-1. The game is played by the rules (and with the equipment) of baseball in the 1880s. Click photos for larger images.

The Rancho Murieta Association board spent almost two hours Wednesday night planning potential 2019 projects, everything from pickleball courts to speed enforcement to a new business offering watercraft on Lake Clementia.  The board is expected to deliver its preliminary go-ahead on projects at Tuesday’s board meeting.
