After addressing dozens of cracked homes, builder tells homeowners to seek warranty coverage instead

Bob and Kay Lynn say their home, which they've owned for five years, began showing cracks almost as soon as they moved in. It's one of a hundred homes in the South built since 2000 that have had severe problems with cracking. After years of addressing problems, the builder, Reynen & Bardis, is telling the homeowners that further repairs need to be done by the warranty company.

The house on Murieta South Parkway was about a year old when Bob and Kay Lynn bought it as a second home in 2002.

RMA swears in directors

Anne Denker

Rancho Murieta Association Director Anne Denker thanked Maintenance Department Manager Rod Hart after the RMA annual meeting and election Thursday night. Hart made carved wood medallions to honor her and President Jack Cooper for their service as board members. Cooper was reelected to the board with 814 votes, and Dick Cox received 686 in the election. Since the two ran unopposed, the evening's only suspense centered on making the quorum requirement of 928 votes for the election -- and who would win the door prizes.

Holiday season begins with entertainment and good deeds

The Rancho Murieta Community Church has scheduled its annual Christmas musical drama, the Kiwanis Club is helping to collect Toys for Tots, the Rancho Murieta Association is holding its annual food and toy drive with the Elk Grove Unified School District, and the Women's Club is holding its annual Holiday Home Tour. It's the holiday season, Murieta style.
