Volunteering at Relay For Life

Most of us have been touched by cancer in some way.  It is often followed by a feeling of helplessness as we are unable to fight the fight for the cancer survivor.  But by volunteering and participating in the American Cancer Society's (ACS) Relay For Life, you can help Fight Back against cancer.  At Relay For Life, our main goal is to raise money for the American Cancer Society's research (what causes cancer), education (teaching people ways to stay healthy and to minimize their risk of cancer), advocacy (work  to ensure that elected officials and policy makers at all levels of government make the fight against cancer a top national priority) and services (transportation to cancer treatment, look good feel good program for cancer survivors, etc).  Relay For Life reflects the purpose of the American Cancer Society.  Teams at the Relay For Life event highlight advocacy, services, research, and education at each of their tents.  It is our way to FIGHT BACK against cancer! (And it is a really fun event!) :)
