The Gallery of Graphic Design has a cool archive of ads through the years (searchable by product, year, etc.), but it does raise some troubling questions.
A Wrigley's Spearmint ad from 50 years ago says these little pizzas ...
... (which, by the way, look about 50 years old) are great for "cola parties." Tell us, Grampa, what was a cola party?
And Gramma, did people really laugh at someone with bad breath back then?
Would kids back then really eat prunes on their cereal?
And did airplanes back then really have Barcalounger-size seats? And curtains?
