Rancho Murieta Bandits come home June 29th

The next game for the Rancho Murieta Bandits is at home in the familiar confines of Stonehouse II park on June 29th (11AM). The Bandits are set for a rubber match against the defending champion, Amador County Crushers (3-0), in a contest that may help determine the fate of both teams. Come on out to the yard to experience the sights and sounds of the Vintage game. More and more cranks have come to find it’s an entertaining way to spend the day at the park with the whole family!

For more information about the home club, or the Gold Country Vintage Base Ball League, visit the Bandit home page here on rm.com (with game highlights), or the league site at www.gcvbb.com

Crush the Crushers

I'm looking forward to the game Blake.  If we can beat the Crushers and tire them out for their second game of the afternoon where they could do us the favor of losing to the Miners, we could have the opportunity to stand atop the heap!

Wouldn't that be something?

Root, root, root for the home team?

And after our recent victory versus the Preston Nine, we are all set to make it another win streak.

Note to all cranks (fans) - did you know that while we are the host team, that does not ensure we will be the home team?  Per the rules of 1886 a bat toss is conducted between the official and the two team captains prior to the start of the game.  The captain who is able to "top" the bat chooses whther they will be they home team or the visitors for the contest.

Go Bandits!

Biggest game of the year

I am looking forward to seeing the likes of Phil "Philthy" Albee, Terry "T-Bone Conway" , Kevin "Hammy" Bagley and Jonathan "Junk yard dog" Aberle take on the 5-0 West Coast Champion Crushers.  Especially after the 3-2 defeat earlier in the year.
