A Murieta family reported on Tuesday that its motor home was stolen from the Cantova Way mini-storage facility that had been hit by thieves twice already this year, most recently early this month.
Jerry Wall said he discovered on Monday that his motor home was gone along with all of its contents. “It was full of dishes, binoculars, all my fishing gear, stoves, barbecues, on and on,” he said. He said the home had a 47-inch TV and two smaller TVs among its amenities.
Wall said he last checked on his vehicle following the Oct. 4 theft of a pickup truck, a collectible car and tools from the facility.
Security Officer Mike Scarzella, standing in for Chief Greg Remson, said the storage business is in the process of installing cameras and changing its access system, which requires a passcode to enter and exit.
In late January, a utility trailer, boat and two ATVs were reported stolen from the facility.
