Spray park will open for season on Friday

Spray parkWe’ll see how the weather cooperates, but the Rancho Murieta Association will open the community spray park at Riverview Park Friday (when the weather forecast calls for a chance of rain and a high around 70). The Country Club's party to raise funds to re-do the Terrace Patio (which is a terrific site for parties) looked to be a big hit Sunday afternoon. There were hors d'oeuvres, drinks, music and raffles. (Click photos for larger images.)

At their May meetings, the Rancho Murieta Association and Community Services District boards discussed the effort to get Jackson Road's speed limit reduced in the Rancho Murieta area as well as the CSD's pullout from animal control services and other business. The Rancho Murieta Association board voted unanimously Tuesday night to impose a $62.40-a-month fee on Village residents who want unrestricted access to RMA amenities like the parks and lakes. RMA, CSD boards meet this week

The Rancho Murieta Association and the Community Services District hold their monthly board meetings this week. The RMA meets 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the RMA Building, and the CSD meets 5 p.m. Wednesday at the CSD Building. RMA wants $62 monthly fee from Village

The Rancho Murieta Association says Murieta Village residents must begin paying $62 a month if they want to use facilities behind the gates. It's part of an effort to develop a coherent policy for Murietans outside the gates using amenities funded by those inside the gates, the RMA says.
