The Operating Engineers, with the assistance of RMA Maintenance, replaced the South Gate overhang Wednesday morning. The structure was hit by a too-tall truck last August. Repairs were delayed by problems with the supports, which weren't built according to blueprints, the RMA said. The RMA plans to stucco the pillars once the structure is inspected. New bridge will open Thursday, officials say

Vorster looks back on nine years as RMA general manager

Ask Rancho Murieta Association General Manager Greg Vorster what aspect of his job has given him the most satisfaction and he'll answer without hesitation, "The development of the parks."

Aside from the Gazebo and a portion of Riverview Park, the community "definitely didn't have them nine years ago," he says.

Stonehouse Park came into being with ball fields, restrooms, bocce ball and basketball courts, acres of turf, and playground equipment he helped a volunteer group of residents put together a few years ago. Read more » about Vorster looks back on nine years as RMA general manager
