The KCRA-TV (Channel 3) digital broadcast test Wednesday alarmed residents whose TVs failed the test, prompting dozens of phone calls to the Rancho Murieta Association, RMA General Manager David Stiffler said Thursday. But there's no need for concern, KCRA and Stiffler say.
In announcements on air and on its web site, KCRA says technical issues caused a number of failures around the area, not just here. Specifically, KCRA mentions Comcast customers as failing the test. The station says it will address the problems and have another test on Oct. 17.
Stiffler says the RMA won't have problems with the transition to digital on Feb. 17.
