Lightpost

[Update in the comments] Rancho Murieta Community Services District Security Department is asking residents for help identifying the owner of a smaller, silver vehicle with front-end damage. A vehicle matching that description hit a light in front of a home on De La Cruz Drive at 3:45 a.m. Sunday.  Neighbors awakened by the crash reported it to Security. "It was a pretty big bang for the neighbors to come out" at that hour, Patrol Officer Mike Fuentes said Sunday morning. Witnesses saw the vehicle head up De La Cruz, which dead-ends at the golf course. The driver apparently used unpaved roads that connect to the back lake area to flee instead of returning to Murieta Parkway.  Judging by the damage to the stone pillar, the vehicle would have "pretty significant damage to the driver's side," Fuentes said. Anyone with information is asked to call the South Gate at 354-3743. Read more » about Do you have information about this accident?
