Drainage work planned on North Course

For the next 10 days, the Community Services District says it will be replacing two corroded metal pipes that run across the fairway at Hole 13 on the North Course. At times there may be construction traffic along Guadalupe Drive. The CSD says the project will be completed as soon as possible.  A flyer on the work is attached. Balloon toss

Part of the team check-in at Saturday's Parent-Junior Golf Tournament was a balloon toss.  The partners kept backing up and tossing a water balloon, as Cable Davis is doing with daughter Aubree, 6, with club pro Don Thames officiating.  The outcome of the tosses?  Well, let's just say it's the kind of day when you don't mind a little sprinkle. Country Club pair win NCPGA team title

Don Thames and Danny GumsCountry Club Pro Don Thames and club champ Danny Gums won their division at the California State Club Team Championship over the weekend in Truckee.  They shot -11 and captured the Mixed division, with the professional player over 50 years old and the club champ under 50.  The tournament was held at Old Greenwood and the Golf Club at Gray's Crossing. Club will post new notice to trespassers

Later this month, the Country Club will post new signs advising everyone that the golf courses are for the use of members and their guests only.  A flyer about the change, which shows the old and new signs, says, "This signage is a reminder to everyone of the need to abide by the rules, that the golf courses are not parks, and that the Country Club is private property."  You're encouraged to report violations to rpt-tipline@ranchomurietacc.com. Group discusses North Gate, security cameras

The Joint Security Committee heard about a new North Gate design approach, a Country Club plan to curtail golf course trespassing, and a proposal for a surveillance camera system committee Friday.
