[News brief published April 19] When the Rancho Murieta Community Services District board of directors voted Wednesday not to send a representative, it seemed likely the Parks Committee wouldn't have a quorum for a vote to use $725,000 in Rancho Murieta Association parks fund contributions for a community center and pool project.  But by the end of the week, the Parks Committee meeting was still on for May 10, and a developer representative was expected to attend, according to the RMA. There's no stop sign, but there is a newly painted directive for vehicles to stop on northbound Murieta Drive at the intersection with Lone Pine Drive. It appeared after repair work was done on the private road this week by contractors for developer Regency Centers, and it has residents wondering whether the painted pavement is a mistake or the real deal. The Murieta Drive stops they're accustomed to all have signs, even though the red paint is faded.  The road improvements are a condition of county approval for Murieta Gardens, a commercial and residential development Regency Centers plans to build on land across from Murieta Plaza.
