Retreats opening

With heavy equipment turning dirt just a long iron away, hundreds of people gathered at the Country Club Thursday afternoon to mark the opening of the Retreats development. Sales manager Kevin Coates answered questions, handed out brochures and climbed on a chair to announce that the sales office will be open in the trailer on Alameda Drive 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and every day thereafter. He also introduced the development managers and investors to the crowd, some of whom seemed mostly interested in the free drinks and food. The 84 homes, priced from $509,900 to $625,900 in a price sheet available Thursday, are being built on the North Course close to the clubhouse. The Retreats website is here.
